The building that houses Depot Liquor is the original Oshkosh train depot, built in 1909 when the railroad arrived and turned this stretch of the Nebraska panhandle into a hub for buying and selling goods. For decades it stood beside the tracks as the town's front door. When the trains stopped running, the depot was moved north of town where it sat waiting for a second life. The owners of Railyard 26 saw what it could become — they relocated the depot to its current home and restored it with care. Today, Depot Liquor carries on the building's tradition of serving the community, with a full selection of beer, wine, and spirits inside walls that have over a century of history.
